aepelbacher 0 Posted May 2, 2005 It wasn't actually my intention to make this a "series", but I really liked the previous image once I uploaded it. So ... I have about 3 or 4 workable images from that "shoot", so I'll work them up for ya'll. So ... let's call this one the 2nd of a series of 4? I think that I still like the first one better ... this one has a snap-shot-y feel to it. Do you agree? Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted May 2, 2005 I think this would look better if you cropped the right quarter just to the right of that blossom. That concentrates the shot on te blossom and also gives that fascinating glimpse through the fence to next door! Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted May 4, 2005 Thats right. And I like that sunlit grass. How about this? Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted May 7, 2005 Would agree that the cropped version is a more effective one. Nice colors and lines in this. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted May 8, 2005 OK, I rarely disagree with Colin on his crops, but I in this case, for some unknown reason, I like the narrow view of the fence line. I like the diagonal created by the flowers and the balance created by the light on the grass, the light on the flower leaf and the light in the upper right on the trees/bush. My only suggestion might be to increase the contrast a bit. It seems to have a lot of middle gray because of the fence.Well seen Lou Anne. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted May 8, 2005 IMHO, seeing the top right background and the bright area through the fence gives this image some more depth. Link to comment
raywei 0 Posted May 10, 2005 Somehow, I am on the crop side in this case. Without cropping, you have what we call the "Ping-Pong Effect" in composition -- upper-right and lower-left high light fights for attention; The center is the main subject, which has a green spot leads to the light on the upper-right. (Blurred to stay Wilsonistique). :D Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 14, 2005 with all the suggestions I agree with Jayme and the original crop. The diagonal line which is done by the lighted area (with the leaf in the middle)are bringing interest as well as the solid fens gray color( with the roundish direction) and the vivid colors of the flowers. nice image Lou Ann. pepa_de_rivera1 0 Posted August 5, 2005 Me gusta sin dudarlo lo mas minimo la original, la perspectiva que da la continuacion de la valla con el amarillo de los arboles al fondo, me parece maravillosa. ?Enhorabuena! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted August 6, 2005 Gracias, Pepa! :-) I don't understand much spanish, but have found a good translation website, so if I get the gist of your comment, you like the original post. Thanks! But it is fun to see all the different crop ideas!! :-) Link to comment
