I am often accused of photographing mainly women. I often point out that as an amateur, I tend to focus on the things I like. For this reason beer and women feature a lot in my portfolio.

That said, I do not want to appear as if I do not listen to those who offer comment. Today I went out with the purpose of taking a photograph that the ladies might enjoy.

I hope the ladies enjoy this Half naked Hong Kong Hunk.

All jokes aside, I felt is was time I went out and photographed Hong Kong life.

Feedback appreciated.

Great shot David, very nicely composed. This is a real slice of life of Hong Kong, I hope to see more.

It is 9:15am and I am feeling fine. I think my jet lag is over.

Cheers, Alex

Hello David.

A great grab candid! The various flesh tones compliment each other well, and the cigarette is a nice and unheigenic touch!

Well observed!

Regards, Nick.

Now David....The women you photograph are always beautiful, No offense to your male model but if this was meant to "please" your female fans, we need to have a talk!

That aside, this is a great photo! Apparently health codes in Hong Kong are different than in the States. He seems to be looking with pride at his offerings. It may be a while before I eat any poultry again. I hope to see more shots of Hong Kong!

Marc, The 7 chickens and not six was not something that escaped me. I was wondering if anyone else would notice.... BANG! The first comment. Glad you like it!

Pnina, I don't understand your comment about them all being tweaked. However, I am pleased to know you like the shot.

Alex, I'll do a deal with you! You keep posting your photographs of women and I will keep posting photos of life in Hong Kong. The down side of this deal is I know who will attract more attention. Thanks Alex, this is indeed Hong Kong.

Nicholas, I am not so sure about the various skin tones that you mention. They seem to be all pretty much the same to me.

It is interesting you noticed this was a candid shot. These salesmen (and women) do get a little upset when you point the camera at them. Maybe I should invest in less obtrusive camera for grabbing candid shots.

With regard to hygiene, see my reply to Laurie below.

Simon, Glad this made you smile.

Owen, Kind as always. The next shot in this particular series is of a woman. I have a strange feeling that you might not like it....... she is fully clothed..... that may not be the reason you don't like it though.

Laurie, First of all, you can talk to me anytime. This is something I would enjoy very much. That said, Alex Lee (see above) was in town and he gave me a damn good listening to.

Secondly, If you wont eat chicken for a while, I suspect that by the end of the series you will be positively vegetarian. Hygiene standards are a little different to those in the States. I strongly suspect that you DO NOT want to see more pictures of Hong Kong life..... but you are going to.

Seriously Laurie, thanks a lot.

Thanks everyone.

I guess you have a knack for photographing the chicks! David, this is very good. You have the ability to take a mundane scene or object and make it interesting (not that all the subjects of your lens are mundane ....)!

John, I can do you a deal. I will send you as many dead chicks as you like if you send me as many of your lovely models as I like.

Your words are kind. I guess life is only mundane if you chose to make it so. Judging from your portfolio I am guessing that is not a chioce you have made.

I have one or two market photos in the bag so to speak. I will upload them in due course.

I did not ask this chap to pose. This is a candid street picture. Glad you like it!

well, he does look much better than the man's butt crack I got to look at last evening while eating at a sushi bar. Nothing like biting down on a roll, glancing up to see an ass the size of texas staring at you from across the little walkway. I havent got a clue why I didnt break out the camera I had in my bag sitting by my feet.

David, thank you so much for making sure this man's pants were at proper waist level.

Joseph, I think the chicks are hanging out with him.... but I get your point. Thanks!

Knicki, I have great respect for your photography and your comments. However, any observations made in a sushi bar should be kept to yourself. REALLY.... trust me on this! Having said that, I wish you had 'broken out the camera!'

For me this is close to perfect. I mean, c'mon who can look at this and not laugh at least a little. I would love to see more random candid HK photos.

More coming in time. They might not be as funny as this but hopefully as (or a little more) interesting.

Thanks! It is good to be appreciated especially by people you respect.

This is a classic! This really says HK to me. I like how the guy improvised the number 2 with an up-side-down number 5 to get 28. ModernfarmingHK.com is also a nice touch. The cigarette in the right hand, the pose, direction of his sight toward the chickens, all are just right, even the balancing act between lighting in the display case and ambient. ^_^

Wilson, Thanks for your comment. I have to say I didn't notice the improvised 5. Now that it has been pointed out to me it makes the picture funnier.

I have been taking a few shots of the 'real' Hong Kong and I am sure to upload them in time. Not all will be as amusing as this but hopefully they will have something to remind you of Hong Kong.

Thanks again.

OMG!!! This is revolting! That's why I love it. As a vegetarian I hate to see stuff like this... but in a way it is rather humorous... great shot... I would have shot this too if I had the opportunity. Lucky....

Kim, I carry my camera with me most of the time when walking around Hong Kong. Strangely I do not intrude in photographing the public as much as I should. There are 100s of opportunities for photographs like this every day.

Thanks for taking the time. It is appreciated.
