sef1664877429 0 Posted May 2, 2005 Ahh... what a nice scene. I might crop in a bit, though, to strengthen things, but not too much, a scene like this needs lots of space. Its a shame the grass is so bright, I 've tried taking it down a little with curves, but looks a bit marred at this resolution. Does your camera allow exposure compensation? If your not using it already, maybe try setting it to -1/3, or -2/3 on a bright day like this. It might make this type of scene a bit too dark( this particular shot works best sunny), but you can brighten the shadows up easily enough... Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted May 2, 2005 Steven, thanks for the observation. I'll have to check the manual. The camera does tend to struggle a bit in this kind of glaring light. Many thanks for looking. Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted May 3, 2005 I agree with Stephen about the crop but I'm happy with the highlights which add a touch of zing to the shot. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 4, 2005 See if you can do something about the overexposure on the grass between the dog and the building. It's a great photo....what's that Otis Redding song? Sittin' on the dock of the bay.... Link to comment
