kslonaker 0 Posted April 30, 2005 I saw a forum post where someone was complaining about all the bird photos being posted. Funny thing...made me WANT to post a bird picture after reading that! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted April 30, 2005 And I'm so glad that you did. The world (or at least PN) needs more pictures of birds taken by folks who know exactly what they're doing (like you!) :-D Thanks for sharing!! Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted April 30, 2005 This is a real beauty! What can one say? 'More please' possibly! Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Thanks, guys. I actually tried a layers technique on this one and I quite like the effect it gives. Link to comment

sharon jackson 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Very nice shot. I'll complain if you quit putting up bird shots. Keep'm coming! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Yea, but you are the only SUCCESSFUL bird photographer who wears fuzzy pink slippers! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Thanks, everyone. Howard, I bet a few PN photographers wear furry slippers to get bird shots! Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted May 1, 2005 If it takes fuzzy slippers to photograph then that's what it takes....;-) Nice capture and like the background. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Dennis - fuzzy slippers, nightgown and camera - magical accessories for bird shooting! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Thanks, Jon and Aivar. Amelie, being the stubborn person I am, it only makes me work to post MORE birds, not less! :) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 1, 2005 Someone wrote somewhere, that he is tired of birds images....He did not see this one and many other beautiful postings of birds.... Good placing in the frame Kim, nice complementary colors, very appealing. Pnina Link to comment
dk. 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Keep Posting those Bird shots Kim. ;o) lolVery Good picture by the way, Oh and can you send some Cardinals my way please I would love to get some pictures of them thanks. :o) 6/6 DK. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Thanks, Pnina and David. I thought it was an odd comment of that fellow to make, since there are a lot of landscapes, people pictures, etc., on here, too. If an image is well done, it doesn't matter how many other pictures of that subject there are posted, imo. Besides, think of how many species of birds there are in the world! I'd like to see (and shoot) as many as I can. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Saw a post in the forums from someone who complained about all of the bird pictures being posted. This is dedicated to him... Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted May 2, 2005 Wonder if it was the same guy I saw complaining about bird photos a month or so back. He said he was tired of photo.net looking like national geographic. My response was it more closely resembled Penthouse with all the nudes that are posted. In any event if you are going to post a bird picture you might as well post a good one. And this qualifies as a very very good one. The Cardinal is sharp and clear. The colors are very nice. And the background blur is to die for. Kudos. 7/6 Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted May 2, 2005 Gorgeous shot, gorgeous bird:) Love the greens in this one, which accent the red very, very well. Nailed the sharpness and the DOF. Also, the comp created by the branch works well too. Yeah, I'm gonna upload two or three birds today in honor of Patrick Y. It'll be good for his soul;) Link to comment
