A not so recent photo that has grown on me. Not any drama or striking

colors, but i find the gentle mood quite appealing. I wonder if you

think it has enough going to be interesting?

Any input is appreciated.

Great capture! And a very cold one. The entrance of the sunlight makes this photo what it is. I like the huge foreground and all of its detail alot too! Well done!

This really works for me. It took a second to recognise what was going on, probably something to do with just waking up, but having done so I was taken with the flow of colour from cold to warm. The almost cloudless sky helps with the continuity of flow. I see how it could easily grow on you.

Really a delicate beauty. Well put together, engaging with color play. Spots of snow behind the humps of rocks marking passage of the wind, leading in.

I like the ice on the bottom that leads to the rocks in the middle, and finally to the distinctive warm areas in the mountains. My only criticism would be that those bright areas seem out of balance. Ideally I would have liked three separate bright areas of more or less equal size. Still, it's a nice exposure, and I like the subtle gradient in the cloudless sky.

Thanks guys. Carl.. you are right regarding the warm areas, but perhaps two spots of red would been the best, since the ice and rocks leads to the left, a slightly larger piece of red on the right would counter balance that nicely. I just wonder if the foreground could benefit if it was brighten up a bit, making the sepearation from the bright areas less appearant.

I like the FG color and brightness as is, in part because it sets off the sunlit mountains nicely. Maybe the best solution is to trim the right side just a hair which preserves the rock in front.

it might work, if crop is set in the shadow area to get rid of the most right red area... wich is probably what you have in mind i guess.
