We could smell the smoke in the air that day flying through the Rockies and a snowfall the previous day covered all the mountain tops with a fresh coat of white.

I know that the wing will bother some people but just imagine you are sitting in the plane and taking this picture.

Nice to hear your opinion on the wing. For some shots we would dip the wing so it wasn't in the way but this wasn't one of those times. Sometimes there was no time either because we were so busy grabbing the camera back and forth from one another like a couple of crazy people.

The wing does not bother me Kim, I do think it would be neat if it were a different Colour then White though. Maybe you can do something about that in PS. ;o) The only thing that bothers me is that I am not out West, I loved it there! ;o)

The wing does take up a big part of the picture and I tried several colours like you suggested. It turns out that white is not bad after all, eh?

Manikandan, thank you for visiting.

AWESOME views again!!! Personally the wing color doesn't bother me at all because the colors are repeated in the natural subjects of the shot.Quite lovely. Is Minnewanka near Willywonka?:-)

Don't know. Where is Willywonka? . . . in a movie?

I did try many colours for the wing and they all looked worse than white. I did a funny green for David though. It could be worse, some small planes are orange and yellow!!

This a cool view of some grand mountains. I know how hard this can be to take, since there can be alot of bumps which makes it hard to hold the camera still. Plus not to mention the window itself has to be clean and glare free. So I say good job.

I also have similar photo in my "airplane" folder. Feel free to have a look.

Love all the blues and whites !

Beautiful capture of the mountain range and foothills. Did you ride around and sprinkle

powdered sugar on the mountain tops ?

Hi Merni! Well I guess I never did get back to you on this one. That was just around the time our dear pussycat passed and then we went to the cottage and I never got back to this shot until Landrum came a visiting. To answer your question, no we didn't do any sprinkling that day, someone came by before us and did it. It was fresh snow, pristine and out of this world georgeous.

Hi Landrum, yes the perspective is very special and even more awesome is flying at an altitude of 9,000 feet above sea level and having the peaks still tower over you. Coming from out east, at that altitude you wouldn't ever run into a mountain! Nice to see you and thanks for stopping by.
