salvatore.mele 1 Posted April 26, 2005 I like a lot the rythm in this picture, or better the way different rythms merge together. The diagonal (but actually almost fan-like) rythm of the stairs, the rytm of the paving of the stairs, which is perpendicular to the first, and the rythm of the shadows, which is horizontal... and then they all converge where the three shadows sort of climb the stairs. I have been thinking for a while how it would look removing something from the left-hand side. A vertical portrait, removing half of it, would be too tight on the shadow... more dynamic in their zig-zag, but without the space they seem to evolve into. A square would lose some of the rythm of the stairs, but not too much, after all, giving more relevance to the relative amount of black shadow and stairs... and I'd like to hear your opinion on that. federomero 0 Posted April 26, 2005 Sugerente. Link to comment

Link to comment
