This looks familiar! Great scenery and that lovely brown river! :) We just got back from Canada (B.C.) a few weeks ago, but didn't go through the Fraser Canyon - instead we took a detour to Kamloops and took the Coquihalla Highway up and back.

Sorry for the confusion here. I decided to make a change so I cut and pasted your comment and now it appears under my name. Even more confusing is we are both Kims. ;-))

Sounds like we did part of the same route. This was the third leg of four on that day: we departed Calgary and landed in Golden, Kamloops, Chilliwack and finally Sidney on Vancouver island. I pinched myself many times to make sure I wasn't dreaming. We saw the most incredible and diverse scenery ever. I took over 600 pictures that day ! Unfortunatly most aren't good enough to post here. The air was full of smoke from forest fires in Northern Alberta. The heat and the humidity levels were both very high and I though it would be cooler in the mountains. . . not!

The Frasier Valley is quite narrow and that surprised me too. I wasn't expecting the water to be brown either. Thanks for dropping by!

What a view! I love the colors- even the brown river looks nice against the lush green. The haze of the bcakground looks good with the shadow patterns in front,it matches the whole scene.

I've driven through there!! And I'm so jealous, because this is a gorgeous shot. There's nothing that you can do about the haziness ... but otherwise it's GREAT!! The river draws the eye right into the shot. Wonderful!! Thanks for reminding me of this awesome drive!! :-)

Such a beautiful setting, your photograph

depicts this well. It makes me want to visit

there. I love seeing the haze as it mixes with

the green of these lovely mountains. Seeing the river snake along the foothills makes an interesting contrast, with the lines from the different roads.

I can see the depth of the valley & the layers & layers of hills all the way through the distance. Beautiful landscape.

...for your nice comments. It's wonderful that this image could inspire some of you to want to go there and for those who already know this great scenery, it's a memory of a great vacation.

I just thought I would give you an idea of how hazy it really was . Here is the original I worked from.

Thank you Pulok and Lou Ann. It's quite amazing what you can do with a little or in this case a lot of editing magic.

Kim you did a great job working from the original, 6/6. I am going to have to get you to work on mine and make them all look better too. ;o)

You are really good at Editing and fixing Pictures.

P.s. I would love to go out to B.C. again one day.
