Sometimes a rainy weather is advantageous when taking photos.

It gives a kind of blue light, which I enjoyed more times, also near

the Zürich lake or in London.

I like how the special blue tonality of the Mediteranean sea at Côte

d'Azur come across in this picture, with the otherwise white shining

mountains and an equally blue sky (image is unmanipulated).

What do you think?

Thanks in advance for all comments!

You have a lot of good high angle shots. I really like the lines in this photo. The blue really comes out for me as well.Makes me feel like I was there.

Hi Derek,

thanks a lot for the comment.

Yes, the Mediteraneean is indeed that blue, also in reality, not just in the photos. It was astonishing to see it first time ...

I think you worked well with the light you had. My sugestion is be carefull with the little details, like the light in the right, that have a part cutted. Good photo.

It's a nice spot to shot a photo, but the low clouds are stealing the sunlight -- and so the good mood gets lost. Dealing with bad weather: better take some detail shot than a perspective.

Hi,

Yes, a different blue than the turcoise Azur in the Nice or Lisbon photos, but I like it equally much!

thanks for the kind comment

thank you for your time and comment.

You are right about the light, especially since it is in the foreground ...

My photoapparat went "kaputt" last week, maybe I need a new one (this one frames less than it will be visible in the final picture, so I suppose that, when shooting, I didn't see the light at all ...) when I can afford.

regards

well, I like the mood and light of bad weather on water surfaces - unfortunately my camera was not working in Zürich, but a colleague of mine made similarly "white light" (as instead of yellow sunlight) photos on that lake, which I like very much.

Do you like this photo on the Wikipedia Monaco page (opens in new window, not responsible of external websites etc), taken surely by better weather, more? Water creates often over or under exposure problems by better sunlight, and with my old and rather cheap camera, this was rahter a blessing, than a problem to deal with.

I haven't uploaded any detail shots yet, maybe in the near future :)

If you cannot wait till then, here (opens in new window) some taking by my mama same day, just that my mama thinks any frame without me in it is a vaste of film, so I am in all of them (and despite that, somes are really a vaste of film, IMHO ...)

rainless regards today, as different from yesterday ;)
