I hope that you didn't get your self into trouble with this photograph. In London, this sort of scar is often connected with organised crime, and is associated with the punishment and identification of a police informer (the cut represents where the phone would be, assuming the informer ratted on his mates by phone). Of course there a 1001 reasons why someone may have such a scar!
