davidmccracken 2 Posted April 22, 2005 I have a friend called Eric who is always well dressed. However, he never looks as good as this. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 22, 2005 This was fun! Any negative comments about the male model's short dumpy fingers will result in a slow and painful death. Feedback appreciated! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 22, 2005 4:30 in the afternoon, black jacket, hmm. Must be going out to dinner! Link to comment
eimages 0 Posted April 22, 2005 Looks a lot better than on that small screen of your D10. I love the concept, will have to try this myself. Alex Link to comment
rochelle_ballard 0 Posted April 22, 2005 Creative shot. Strangely, for me it looks more like a shot about wrapping up a gift than one about dressing up, maybe because of the colour of the tie, which resembles that of a ribbon. Cheers. Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted April 22, 2005 Good one. But I wouldn't have used a Windsor knot. I prefer the assymetry of a Half-Windsor, which I also think in this case would be more suggestive in multiple ways. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 23, 2005 Jim, Thanks! It was just a bit of fun! Malcolm, 4:25 but how can you tell it was the afternoon? The jacket is navy and no dinner appointment unfortunately. Alex, Viewing photo on the screen of a 10D is definitely not as good as viewing them on P.N. I look forward to the results of your efforts on this subject. Rochelle, Long time no see. I never though of this as a 'wrapping of a gift' but given the subject matter, it might be appropriate. Mark, A half Windsor! Preposterous! Conte, Thanks for stopping by! Thanks everyone! Guest Guest Posted April 23, 2005 Sorry David, I must have jumped to a conclusion. I thought that if this was was 4:30 (4:25) in the morning, that a red tie was completely inappropriate! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 23, 2005 Angel, Thanks for the comment. Your comments are always most welcome. Malcolm, You are correct. I was teasing you. Maybe if I had been looking like I was removing the tie, it might have been 4:25 in the morning..... then again... perhaps not! Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted April 23, 2005 Hello David. Nice that you are back excercising your unique brand of humour! - unmistakably your work! Very smart indeed! - Fantastic! Regards, Nick. Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted April 23, 2005 Another McCracken original. I sense an entire new portfolio coming from The Pacific Rim. congratulations on the stack of comments, almost all good. I am yet to merit one on my latest effort. I may have to get some new ties. Very well done. -Cheers Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 23, 2005 David, is that a Windsor knot? Since Windsor and Maidenhead go together, I see the connection ;-) Good show! (BTW, put the film in yesterday, should have it back Wednesday with any luck.) Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 24, 2005 Nick, This was indeed fun to do and it was taken with the intent to amuse others. Your remark has told me that I have succeeded! Thanks a lot. Owen, I always like to see your comments. As for your latest. I am sure to check it out soon. I am glad you like this! Owl, Like Owen you always offer your encouragement. Unlike Owen, you do not have many photos of women. I look forward to seeing your new collection soon. Fran, Thanks! Jon, I'll show you what the male model's expression was like the next time I see you. However, I can tell you that he was a little worried that she might fart! It took many attempts at this to get the composition the way I liked it. No one said being a photographer / model was easy! Knicki, I have no idea!!!! Thanks everyone for stopping by! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 24, 2005 Knicki, I now understand.... I think. The answer is neither! HONEST! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 26, 2005 Knicki, "He who laughs last laughs longest." In my case it was he who laughs last is slow to see the joke. Chris, Just a bit of fun. It is nice to know others see the joke. Thanks a lot! Link to comment
return_visit 0 Posted April 27, 2005 Excellent comment on male attire. The necktie has always been a very strange accoutremont of male attire. Much like the tail feathers of a strutting about cock-of-the-walk! It's even more telling in the use of such pasty-white, enlarged, and fumbling male hands clutching the necktie. I'd be willing to bet this says more about men than you'd be really willing to admit? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 28, 2005 Avatar, Maybe you didn't read my warning in my opening remark for critique. You have to understand that the male model in this is very sensitive and gets upset very easily when people make fun of him. He is particularly sensitive about his pasty-white, enlarged, and fumbling male hands. I have to agree with you that the neck-tie is a strange piece of attire. However, I do think it looks good here. Since you did not like the pasty-white, enlarged, and fumbling male hands, I have posted an alternative version here for your comparison. I do hope you will let me know what you think.
