Golden Heron Revisited

Here is another image in a series of consecutive shots during a pan on

this bird. (Is a pan on a bird worth 2 bushes?) Anyhow, see the

previous image in my backyard folder. This is a slight improvement

but there was still too much camera shake to get the sharpness I was

looking for.

I don't do much wildlife photography so I am perhaps not the best to comment. But even without that last nth of critical sharpness,you've created a beautiful image.

Wonderful colors, and you got the heron at the perfect moment.

That lighting is absolutely amazing. Shame about the bird's grain, I feel your pain - but it's not that bad. Is this like Autumn reflection or something? Any chance that patience will reward you with another opportunity?
