wayne_young1 0 Posted April 21, 2005 Classic. What did you re-work ? For me, there's just a tad too much sky on the right. Bringing the windmill over to the right might work better. It's a pity the tower wasn't in the middle of the gap between the trees - I think it would be more balanced then. Also - it's a little dark, even for a moody B&W shot Link to comment
leslie cohelan 0 Posted April 21, 2005 I can't agree...I think that open space allows a place for the viewer to continue the journey to the turbulent sky...if the tower were there, it would just be a wall of vertical images...no it works as is...and dark is what makes this image work as well...there is a hint of light in the foreground and on the trees that lets you know that there is a good contrast in the sky above...but you know I'm partial to your black and whites anyway...I like this one....makes me think of "Dorothy" and "Oz" nice to see you too Link to comment
janiebarber 0 Posted May 13, 2006 Mike, very good photo. I agree with Leslie as I like the off center of the windmill and also the darkness. In my eyes, these condtions make a very interesting and eerie shot. Link to comment
