The not having makeup contrasts great with the perfectly focused, smooth eye.

Howard, I found myself absolutely drawn into this image. The moisture on her eye, and her lips, creates a 3-d effect. My eye is drawn directly to her eye, and I keep wondering what she is seeing and perceiving. I like this a lot! Rick

Funny what a crop can do! I'm assuming this is the same shot as your other recent post of this woman, only more closely cropped? I prefer this one - it just grabs you and holds your attention.

Kim, this is a different shot. The crop is not as intense as you may think. I was really right on top of the lady. Just cropped the left side.

Howard ... Sorry to be the dissenter. I actually think that this one is a bit too close. I find myself leaning back. Can't put my finger on it any better than that ... it's just that I've enjoyed your other portraits a bit more.

I like the tight crop and the image.Reminds me of the movie.

The closeup is intriguing,you bring me to look at her,sort of learn knowing her,the crop helps too.origional!
