Mike Marcotte 49,910 Posted April 20, 2005 The steps are a little uneven, the camera was level. Link to comment
louise bridge 0 Posted April 20, 2005 I like this black and white image that very subtly hints at the hope of springtime. I think it's very well done. Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted April 20, 2005 Louise hit on it, the reason I like it. Spring in a uniquely subtle way, with nice lighting and marvelous texture. A scene few would think of for a photo, which is all the better. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 49,910 Posted April 21, 2005 Thanks Doug & Louise. I was going for the feeling of early Spring & some cold concrete steps. My Mom's old watering can & my sister's old pots. Thanks for the comments. Link to comment
jd marion 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Hot dang, Mike! This may be my favorite of all your photos. Emptiness here speaks volumes (well, maybe more than the pots or can will hold). This is b & w work at its best with a sense of immediacy, texture, and tone. Wow! Sorry to be so effusive but this photo represents many of the reasons I love photography, especially b & w. I particularly like the dark tone on the right of the pots!!--Danny Marion Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 49,910 Posted August 23, 2006 Thanks Danny. Also one of my favorites, my sister's pots on my Mom's basement steps. The print's here on my desk. Link to comment
