justpete 0 Posted April 16, 2005 Light Rail station at hospital uses round sheet steel colums to form the shape of its arched covers. These sheets are perf'ed to form words describing the mission one would expect a hospital to be. Difficult to get a pic of them, enough depth shows three being essentially the same. Since the colums are rusted aa a natural finish and the handicapped rail entrance is plain anodized aluminum, it seemed rather incongruous to me so I tried to juxtapose 'old' and 'modern' expressing a similar theme of help for everyone who needs it. And the lighting reminded me of 'candy stripers', a term for hospital volunteers. Link to comment
