Very nice Picture Kim it makes me want to head up north to the lake.

You did a very nice framing job too.

Thanks David,

The new fresh greens are always beautiful in the North country but what you cannot see are the hundreds of thousands of blackflies that are up there vacationing with us in May and June.

I'm glad you like my frame too. I just discovered this ancient photo editor on my system that I never knew I had and it's great for these kinds of frames. It's called Image X.

Very beautiful Kim ! This reminds me of a painting that would be in a log cabin at a lake in the mountains. Have a nice weekend !

Is your cat doing better still? - Merni

Thanks so much Merni.Funny you should say that because the photo was taken at our cottage. I should frame it and hang it up there. Good in the winter to give us hope.

Omar, my cat is doing better. I have to give him insulin everyday now. Thanks for asking. I saw the picture of your beautiful dog and was going to put up a picture of my cat under it in the critiques but then I went away for a couple of days. Do it when I get back.:-)

Glad to know Omar is doing better. My sister gives her cat insulin too. It is touch and go with him right now.

Your lake photograph reminds me of the site for the film On Golden Pond. Which may be Squam Lake in New Hampshire. Do you have loons at your lake, as in the movie?

Cherlyn, it's nice that you always drop by. Thanks.

Merni, sorry to hear about your sister's cat. It's hard to let go of our babies. I thought it was my turn to let go but it seems we have more time to share together. I even don't mind if he wakes me up at 4 in the morning anymore. He can get away with murder now :-)

Yes we have loons at our lake in the summer. They are not there yet however as the lake is still frozen. It's a wonderful sound they make and we had the experience of following a family in our canoe with the little one riding on someone's back. I don't know if it's on mom or dad though. It's a rare sight.

Gracias Julio for your nice comment on the lighting, the colour and the framing. You are a busy man and I very much am honored for your taking the time to critique my photo.
