Sunset

Ohrid and lake Ohrid are protected by UNESCO as natural and cultural

heritage. This is a photo of lake Ohrid.

 

Coming back from Ohrid, late August 2003, I went by train and talked

with the fellow passengers. They said me one of the reasons it is

natural heritage listed is the colour (ie transparence) of the water.

 

When I looked to the slide, I found it quite flat; there are no

mountains to add dramatic to the scenery.

 

But when I saw the scan I was delighted by the nuances.

The unique colour of the water in that place can be seen here, if you are interested. Not so poetic though, cos it is at strong daylight.
