At first sight, I asked myself why you had chosen to go for an horizontal shot of such a vertical subject as a forest. Than the different shades of colour started giving a rythm to the shot, and I came to appreciate this shot, with a background noise of a forest in the mist, and the strong statements of the darker logs.

it is a picture ofa orgasm porportions. ONly one thing camn be better for it to me would be to cut off that one part. Then it would be 7 and 7 from me. I am a scrouge wtih my 7s.

shot! I don't think I've ever seen "parts" of trees done better...

Alexander, considering how excited you also are by this picture, I am left wondering what portion of it you would like to "cut off" ? ;)

lee park I would cut off any part you didnt like. RLFTLMA.

the tiny branch on the left edge can be cut away and it woudnt hurt at all. that's my judge.

Mr. Chubb, I'll get back to you on that. I've been following you a bit, so thank you for leading me to this wonderful picture!

As to the subject at hand ;) - referring to this picture, of course - are you referring to that skinny little tree going up the left side? Perhaps so, especially since it loses it's shading for some reason and that is distracting to my eye. I would think you would have to crop up closely to the next dark tree, however - don't you? Which might unbalance the right side?

This one leaps out from your excellent portfolio. The simplicity and tones are remarkable. I love it!
