Beautiful, graceful lines in this composition, and your crop emphasizes it. The shininess of the headlight is a contrast to the soft texture of the rust...did you clean it?

I like the way the glass seems, incongrously, almost new, while the rest has gone well rotten in texture but not yet in shape. Moreover, the reflection of something green and blue (and you?) nicely contrasts with the decay of the rest.

The highlights to the right are a tad to high.

Thanks for all the feedback! This was taken in Mr. Airy NC which is the town that the "Andy Griffith Show" (Mayberry) was based on. There were tons of old, interesting, Mayberry type things and places. This was parked at an old filling station lot. More Mayberry shots to come if I ever wade through them all.

BTW... I didn't clean the glass... I think it was such a bright sunny high contrast day that the glass just looks extra shiney.

Makes me wish the curve of the hood line wasn't cut off, but I bet you didn't like something over there and have good reason for not including more on the left.

It draws you into the background and then back to the headlight--I like the depth created by use of the curved line and the cone shape of the headlight cover.

Great colors almost day glow! The details of the vents and grill and headlight are interesting.

I like this shot. Great color. There is a lot going on,lines and circles. The reflection in the headlight adds to this photo. Good eye.

The blue refected in the headlight is a gorgeous Carolina sky and the green is a bit of lawn. Yes... to the left was the hood ornament that I have other pics of in another folder. I think the sun was so intense, the colors seem to glow. Thanks for such positive comments. You've all made my day!

Excellent composition, you got a very artistic touch! Love the colors showing on the metal body, and the reflections on the glass. The focus and depth-of-field is perfect, and the sharp detail is

amazing, you done good, congrats and regards, -Jim Oh! Almost forgot, I am proud to rate this one 7/7.

I like this one. I like the crop and the angle, and of course the car itself. What a treasure! You could take a lot of great shots with it.

The body is well worn but the eyes still see 20/20.

Sorry, I had to say that.

I've been looking at your portfolio and read your bio. I have to disagree with you. I don't think you have an addiction. I think it's a passion.

I think you have a great sensitivity to form and light. You have a golden eye. Your conceptual approach seems to indicate a sense of humor which I find refreshing.

Again, wonderful imagery.

Regards, Bill.

Bill... the check is in the mail... lol.

Seriously though, if I didn't know better I would think someone paid you for those kind words.

Passion, addiction, call it what you will, I love it.

Regina,

better late than never, as I just found your portfolio and this is really really nice, just the kind of shot I look for myself.
