r_e 0 Posted April 12, 2005 CR: I could not know what to expect exactly for I never had been in Japan. But I knew that it would become a great melange - carriyng this sensitivity and taste into that different country ... REgards Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 12, 2005 I appreciate all your comments. I would have liked the others that rated it to explain their ratings so I can understand it, low rating without an explanation has a very LOW value for development. Ivan, is " non classical" means what? Pnina Link to comment
chips2 0 Posted April 12, 2005 Pnina ! The I-beam must be causing the distraction ! For me I like the image & the composition . Link to comment

hiroya 0 Posted April 12, 2005 Cherry blossom in front of inelegant steel frame and cheap red vinyl roof. To me, it should be a very familiar and unexciting view. But now I'm watching something quite different and new. Pnina, I really wanted to know how our country seemed to your eyes. I know it's impossible to explain, but this photo gave me a glimpse of the experience your eyes had. Tiny green leaves tell us the end of blossom comming soon, but yet cherry blooms brightly. I think you also captured a detail which brings dynamic changes in front of inorganic artifact, even intentionally or not. One thing I would change is Exposure Date :-) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 12, 2005 Hiroya, thanks for stoping by and your comment. what cought my eye was exactly the difference and juxstaposition of human doing( the red roof of a restaurant)and nature ( cherry blossom). Add to this the stright lined composition of the roof and the natural flow of lines of the stem of flowers .Look at my other 2 uploads and you will get another glimps( read)of what I thought... I think that Aesthetic in Japan have a very high level. I loved the bride with traditional cloths. I saw the ceremony and loved it!I will make a folder with all my impressions. Thanks for the date, you were so right! I have changed it.I will answer your questions in details. Pnina Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted April 12, 2005 Pnina, When I clicked on your photo, the first thought was: Japan. Have never been to Japan but admire Japanese prints and paintings and this reminded me of them. Vivis contrast, effective mesage. Link to comment
