Black Capped Chickadee: Taking Off (Poecile atricapilla)

Another from my fill flash experimentation yesterday. I was fortunate

enough to be able to freeze this bird's body while he was starting to

take off. Created a neat effect. I appreciate any thoughts and

criticism you may have.

How much are you paying this chickadee?

Nice effect indeed. I would probably crop the right side bit of white patches or maybe burn them, but that's all. Seems this usually happens on a bunch of my images also - not much you can do about it. Nice image.

Yup - nice effect. What was the shutter speed? Max sync on the D70 is 500...?

Great capture. very original :) love the movement of the wings, I wish only it head is more sharp, but I know it is difficult!
