alecee 0 Posted April 10, 2005 Saw this stray cat and those orangey eyes. Not the usual colors and it even let me go up close, about 6 inches to tkae this image. Link to comment
saul_santos_diaz 0 Posted April 10, 2005 precioso retrato y gran profundidad, lo unico queno me gusta es el pequeo corte de la pata Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 10, 2005 This is just one smokin cat shot Alec...such perspective. Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted April 10, 2005 Gotta hand it to you the cat does indeed have unique coloration in the eyes. Wonder what they look like in the dark. 5/5 Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 10, 2005 I'm with Brett - missing the front leg. Very cool eyes that cat has! I'm surprised no one has taken it in. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 11, 2005 Thanks for commenting everyone. Brett, Kim I cropped the right leg as I want a closer look at the cat and concentrate on it's eyes. The effect would not have not been so dramatic if I included her leg. Here's another look Link to comment
gbc 0 Posted April 11, 2005 Alec, if you squared this image, focussing on the cat alone.... maybe..? Link to comment
photos of hans koot 0 Posted April 11, 2005 very nice cat photo, very sharp and transparant. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 12, 2005 Gul, Hans thanks for your comments. Barbu, yes it certainly looks like the cat's being restraint by someone holding onto it's right front leg. But from it's expression you can feel he's not concerned at all. Perhaps like Gul suggest a tighter crop will suffice or the other image? Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted April 12, 2005 Great focus and dof, with lottsa detail. The eyes are awesome, maybe a head only crop? 6/6 Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 12, 2005 I think a tighter crop, either on the second posting or your original posting could also serve to feature those eyes. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 12, 2005 Jim, Kim thanks for generating so much interest. I felt by depicting the surroundings it will tell the story of this stray cat and it's easy going nature. Well I enjoyed myself immensely! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 12, 2005 Alec, I like the the angle you posted it with, but I agree about the cat's missing leg. its eyes are realy impressive as well as the DOF. Link to comment

Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted April 14, 2005 very interesting and unusual eyes. never seen eyes that literally glow as if backlit. well spotted Alec Link to comment
watermark_of_merni 14 Posted April 15, 2005 Very beautiful picture and such an unusual cat. I think he really likes you, to let you get this close. Your other picture of him the cat's expression is saying, "Take me with you" ! Woops I'm wrong I think he wants to come live with me. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted April 23, 2005 Alec,I love cats. This one has unusual eyes,no doubt. But that missing leg in the original image troubled me, as if it has been amputed. Alec, please excuse me- did you try to crop and see the head only? It may have dramatic effect. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 23, 2005 Well Sircar, I wanted to concentrate on her eyes which is really different up close. There's a smaller image with all it's legs in view. Link to comment
sallycd 0 Posted April 24, 2005 I like him, side view. And I like him without the leg too.I'm imprssed at the backdrop. I meant, the point of focus is so detailed including the backdrop. Yes, I agree, larger mode is much better. Link to comment
toxa 0 Posted May 8, 2005 The Cat is great! Composition is great! Why bothering about a leg if it's great as it is now! Link to comment
