I don't have a clue what this actually is. It looks like rising smoke in some ways but not in others. I do know that its unusual and very pleasing to look at. Its a gorgeous piece of art. What ever it might be, the photo is extremely well done. I give it a 7/7

 

I am curious about the mirror effect. Was that part of the original image or is it a photoshop construction?

It is indeed rising smoke (though it is rising from top to bottom). It was flipped in Photoshop and then mirrored. However, half of the image is exactly as it was shot. I have included the original image above.

I really like this kind of image..makes my mind work...especially at the bottom center two figures look like monks to me...then as my eyes go up it almost looks like a rabbit they a bit higher my mind takes me monsters,vagina,and then fire and smoke...thanks for the ride.
