arraga 0 Posted April 10, 2005 I liked very much the election and isolation of the primary and contrasting colours of red and green.The neutral greys and white server nicely; the grey as background/canvas and the small detail in white as an entry point to the photograph. The eye is then led along the line of chairs (the red snake) to the other side of the photo and exits.I did also like the repetition of geometric forms (ellipses and rectangles). Compositionally, it's very powerful. The cracked slabs do distract the eye (that's why snow is used as a background - no distraction in the featureless white :) ). I?m very much aware that's nearly impossible to avoid these kind of details in real world photography - that's an observation, not a critique. Link to comment
