pimgeertsfotografie 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Nice shot! I really like the softness of the colours in this one. Well done Link to comment
tomislav_bukvic 0 Posted April 5, 2005 I was just wondering what happens with more contrast, darkening and some saturation? Link to comment
Raisanen 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Yes Tomislav, your version is better. Maybe I will go back to the laboratory... Link to comment
keithc 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Too much contrast would kill the wonderful softness of this scene. I like it just the way it is. Beautiful. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted April 6, 2005 Beautiful light. I love the way it hits the sail. Wonderful reflections from the water. Link to comment
gdw 0 Posted April 6, 2005 Ilkka, I agree with both Tomislav and Keith and I believe there is a compromise. A little selective darkening of the hull and the figures on the boat and a slight graduated darkening of the immediate foreground water. I believe that would give the image more depth by increasing the snap without loosing the wonderful soft, quite quality of the image. Link to comment
david bohn 0 Posted April 8, 2005 It is nice to see this shot in a sea of over saturated - over photoshoped sailboat photographs. Nice, calm, relaxing mood. Great work Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted April 8, 2005 One cannot help it: backlit sails are irresistible! I like the original contrast, but wouldn't mind adding some more (just a bit more!). I know this place, and I think you captured quite well its atmosphere, surely helped by the mist at the horizon. I think a slight CCW rotation could help, though. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted June 21, 2006 The light conditions stole my breath at first glance. The detail in this photo is exquisite, for me. At first, I wanted to crop part of the bottom, but I don't wish to sacrifice the reflection of the sails in the water. Everything connects so well in this photo. Link to comment
