salvatore.mele 1 Posted April 8, 2005 A very interesting interplay of texture and lines, which develops not only in space but in time... it even makes you think whether that's the end or the start of the day. Actually, one think I am puzzled about is the title itself: would fit better if the kid was walking upstairs rather than downstairs! By the way, how did it look in colours? Link to comment
pavel_tyle 0 Posted April 8, 2005 Salvatore: the wall was dark yellow and the boy has a horible coloured bag and cap (you are right, ascending would be better). Link to comment
bexta 0 Posted May 2, 2005 I think this is one of your strongest in your portfolio. The lines, and texture of stones are beautiful and work naturally together. However, the only thing distracting my eye straight to the boy is the few real dark big stones. What I would suggest here is perhaps dodging them down so that they blend in with the other stons. Perhaps this photo is a little too contrasty as well. However you have done a great job staying away from a "flat" image affect from such a direct approach. I like your style of photographing, this direct closeness and eye to detail and texture. Amazing eye. As for the above comment, I think the boys position is fine, and works well as it. Another suggestion that came to my mind is perhaps burning down the back area just to give more a lift to make the photo stand out more. Link to comment
