Comments appreciated--thanks. This area of Greece is famous for it

towers (hundreds of them, maybe thousands), many of which are in

ruins.

Nice warm tones in this image. I like the placement of the building in the composition as well.

Nice composition and excellent capture of the atmosphere. Nicely exposed with very good tonal range.

Kind regards.

It might be me, but this looked stretched. The tower pulls me left and eventually up, the cloud pulls me right... Not that this is bad by itself, but the two objects seems little related and the tension does not add to the shot. I guess the reason is the spike of ruin against the clear sky... Does it really "feel fine" to you? The fact is that, cropping a bit off the right we're just left with a nice tower which does not tell a lot taking too much of the frame... but, again, it might be me.

Allen, Yann, Zafar, Kim, Julia and Jayme, thanks for your nice comments. There are so many ruined towers in the Mani . . . I wish I had a few weeks to photograph them!

Dr. Mele, while I didn't think about it before, I can see your point of how this does stretch. Cropping this isn't a good solution--turns it into just a tower. Strangely, this photo got fairly high ratings but is one of my least favorites in the folder.
