Guest Guest Posted May 29, 2006 There is a poem by William Blake, an 18th century poet (not to mention engraver, painter, sculptor, and some say mystic) titled "The Lamb." I don't have it in front of me right now, and may not be quoting it exactly, but I think part of it goes: "Little lamb, who made thee? Does thou know who made thee, Gave thee life, and bid thee feed By the stream and o'er the mead; Gave thee clothing of delight, Softest clothing, woolly, bright; Gave thee such a tender voice, Making all the vales rejoice?" The lamb in Blake's poem is allegorical in part, of course, and your photograph of this lamb in its innocence is beautiful, and reinforces my belief that there is a greater hand than man's at work in our world. The colors are beautiful, as are the setting and the details. This is one of my favorite photographs by you. Link to comment
