Kevin: I will probably get hammered for saying this, but the lighting in the above just seems off. The foreground appears to have relatively flat/overhead sun. The sky composite puts the sun at a much lower angle. I will also say that the present lighting does evoke a rather surrealistic effect, especially given the extraordinary amount of detail that you seem able to capture at will. Perhaps that was your intent.

Best, Pat

Excellent! Love the clouds and the way the steps lead up to them. And, yes, what's the point of all the PS goodies if they can't be put to good use?

Great job with the sky. I love the beach on a storming day. You captured that perfectly.

I keep seeing the same sky over and over and over again, with different foregrounds. The lighting just doesn't match up at all.

Kevin, I really like the detail in the foreground, the kind of diffused light that makes grass shimmer, the threatening storm clouds and the sense of depth you've accomplished. Nice job. J

A real stairway to the storm. The centre point where the stairs lead to seems so peaceful. Calm before the storm. Original picture with good composition!

it would be a great learning aid, and an insight into the mind of an artist, to see the orginal that you weren't satisfied with. You are lucky because I hardly ever get skies like this where I live.
