The perspective is unique and the person's arms opened wide is a wonderful part of the composition. Looks great, as usual!! :-)

Baldur, Beautiful! You've done a great job with perspective, crisp colors, contrast. And the sense of scale is heightened by the small figure in the foreground...great touch having the red hat...and gesturing grandly. Viewing larger takes care of the jpeg artifacts in the sky around the steeples/roof. And viewed larger, the tiny light in the distance just above the figure adds a nice touch. Good job! J

I like the way you have used the characteristic perspective distortion of the ultra-wide lens to your advantage. Very original and amusing!

a well thought composition , I like the tilted building standing against the blue sky ; a tiny feedback > colour of the clothings of the person is little dark .

I have always been impressed by this beautiful church since me and my wife got married there, the summer 2000 after many years together. Special thanks again to the little girl and Lee McLaughlin.

Beautiful composition and exposure. The wide angle has produced an excellent mood in here. Colors are very warm and rich.

Kind regards.

Hi Baldur. Great shot - great lighting and contrast. The wide-angle distortion gives it a surreal touch. Like it very much. Regards, Michael

I have made a small change compared to the comment from Tuhin Saha.

Ken, thank you very much for your visit and thoughts. It is possible compared to the use of this 14mm lens, to make a picture with no perspective distortion. In this case, this angle impressed me most. Kind regards, Baldur

Jos, thank you very much for your comment and compliment. I used to live in the neighborhood with this beautiful church for many years and I did never make a photo of it. After I moved away, I decided to record it in my way. Glad you like it. Regards, Baldur

Dear Armindo, thank you very much for your comment and rating. Glad you like it. I was on the way home driving with the little girl and her father not faraway from this church when I noticed the sky above it. We stopped there and I started to make some shots. After walking around it, I discovered this angle and got this idea. I told her father that I wanted her into the frame and with his help she was placed to the rigt point. He was going to remove her red cap but I said please do not. The girl is 5 years old and not used to be a model. I made few shot while I was making kind instructions. After some time, I finally captured the right moment. This was not as easy as it maybe looks like. To get the right harmony between the girl and the church and with other elements in mind. I am going to make a nice print for the father and daughter because I am grateful for this shot.
