Hello Wander,

in "small" the photo works very well, colours, croping, the falling of the hair - but enlarged the effect is lost, bcause you see the unclean skin and the photo is not sharp. The idea is very good, but you should look for a sharper lens. Keep on ;-) Stefan

We all know how images can be altered when electronically transmitted; In addition, how the photo will turn out also depending on the type, quality, color and screen resolution settings of the computer that recieves then projects the image. For example, this image is even clearer when viewed in enlarged format on my computer. The sharpness of this image is perfect where it is. Anymore sharpness will make it look like the pictures commonly found in my General Biology and Physiology books in college. I don't think I want to see every vein on her cornea or every hair follicle on her face, unless there is a specific reason for it. Her skin is not dirty. She has freckles, and she is radiant. It's obvious that the photographer wants us to admire her eye the way he sees it, and he triumphed.

Magnificent work, Wander. 7/7.

She makes a fabulous cyclops, doesn't she? I'm awed by the contrast between her intense gaze vs. the dissolution suggested by the unoxygenated blue skin, plum lips and bile-green tile. And what's the hanging out of her ear? The pull-cord to turn her off and on?

May be, in a first look, sharpness could be better but it's such an attractive shot that I don't care. Great framing, superb colors, amazing skin tones for a wonderful portrait. Congrats!
