It's a very nice capture with great colors, i like it.

 

But why is the technical quality of the file so poor?

I gave u 5/5, but if I could see the origenal version (high quality) maybe I change to 6/5. very nice color balance.

I am curious as I am here to learn also; would like to know what and why Christian & Mohammad think this photo is technically poor(?) Subject (bee)is tack sharp and correctly exposed...

To answer your question concerning the quality, there appears to be missing information in the image. Fine detail on the body of the bee is gone in places. Is this image the result of a very tight crop from an image where the bee was much smaller in the frame? Another possible explaination is too much compression when converted to jpeg. Those are my guesses off the top of my head for the loss of detail on this shot.

The poor tech. problem looks like to much unsharp masking. Eiether back off on percentage or pixal count when proccessing. But the image is fatastic. Bravo!
