henrimanguy 0 Posted April 1, 2005 Recently I have decided to turn some of my colour shots into black and white. What do you think of this one ? Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted April 1, 2005 Henri, I think this is great. I love the sharpness and contrast. The subject is great. Well done. Best wishes. P Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted November 23, 2005 Impressive, though I would like to see more detail in the black area. It's too visually heavy if you want the viewer to focus on the towers. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted March 5, 2008 I went looking for this after seeing your caption on the color version. The B&W is much more effective ... the sky is SO dramatic!! Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted March 5, 2008 Apart the fact that I have let the original sky on the new version (one can like or not), I think the black & white treatment is better, with more shades, more details in the blacks, and less destroyed by the jpg compression. See them larger. Isn't it your opinion ? Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted March 6, 2008 I really, really like the one on the left better! It's really a gorgeous image! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted March 8, 2008 Sorry, Henri - the one on the right is the one you worked on? How about this as a consolation ... I think that the lighting/contrasts on the buildings in the one on the right are better ... but I really like the drama in the sky in the one on the left.... Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted March 8, 2008 Thank you Lou Ann. I had understood. But for this new scan I have chosen to not change the original sky. Link to comment
