Metro Union Station

Interested in opinions regarding exposure, shadow detail, and overall

I like the composition of the photo and the tonality looks good. I also like the fact that you took the trouble to photograph the setting at such a late hour. The absence of any human presence works for me.

One of the things that makes DC's metro so unique is the architecture of the stations - the curving rooves and open spaces. Although I like the shot and the tonality, it would;ve been even more effective if the viewer could see the massive open areas in some of the stations - try Metro Center's upper levels or the recently redone Woodly park.

Interesting that you say that it looks like a metro station in DC. Its Union station in Los

Angeles, Califonia. I have been to D.C several

times but never photographed the stations there.

I never seem to take my tripod. I have

to admit the metro stations in both cities look very close to the same.

I like this one Dave. I agree the lack of human presence works well here.

oops - it really does look like a DC metro station and we also actually *have* a Union Station metro stop.
