Hello Howard.

Another grab candid winner, and one full of character with a story to tell!

The texture in her face is superb, and the high contrast works exceptionally well!

Regards, Nick.

Howard, I'm not sure the high-key effect works as well on this one. I love the texture in her face and the expression, but somehow I picture this with darkness instead of light. But that's just me and I still appreciate the capture you got here.

Really a nice portrait Howard, i expecially like the way the woman gives her blessing... also the white background makes the image, by completely isolating the subject thus enforcing the way it delivers the concept.. i wonder if you placed the woman in full sunlight (it may be, but the face is still very readable)... or obtained the effect ad developing time or both.

Howard, face expression and hand are wonderful, the only nit pick is that the right side of her jaw and nose are a bit washed out.otherwise very good as usual. Pnina

A face of character that tells her life story without words. A hard life but a warm nature, that's what I feel from the photo.

Wow Howard, how special things you can do with manipulation, realy fantastic. Makes it more fascinating. Life experience is much more showing it. Thanks for sharing

You did great post-processing work here, Howard. I tried a quadtones effect on this one and really liked it, too.

enjoy the crop and subject very much, but would like less sharpening around the face and hair. i understand, i think, that you wanted something candid and real, and not sugarcoated with guassian blur and the like, but some of the hair and facial skin look unnatural to me. i'd suggest selectively sharpening using a layer or layer mask. you might end of sharpening most, but it would help for some of the more obvious places.
