salvatore.mele 1 Posted March 18, 2005 Late afternoon in the Amazon forest. It looked like all elements ofNature were around: Earth, Water, Sky and the Fire of the sunset.I had no ND filter, unfortunatly, and this is what I got, straight outof camera.I would value your suggestions and comments (and eventually rates)If you really like this shot, here is another onelooking up.You may also wish to visit my remote landscapes Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted March 18, 2005 I'm temtped to crop out the dark area at the bottom, and maybe a little curves adjustment. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted March 18, 2005 Stephen, I see your point. I had been through both the possibilities. I had eventually decided not to crop to keep much of the cloud reflection, but I reckon that the sky gets more relevance in your crop. As for the curves, I had left the left-hand side rather in darkness to get this triangle artificially formed by the vegetation and the shoreline... Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted March 19, 2005 Salvatore, you are lucky to get all the elements on Nature in your image. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 25, 2005 Salvatore, That sky and the reflection are wonderful. I envy your trip to the Amazon rainforest. I'll get there myself one day! The dark triangle on the left does bother me. I'm not sure what you might have done to eliminate it. You're obviously standing right on the edge of the bank. Unless you were able to get onto the water (or in the water if it wasn't too deep)there really was nothing more you could do. Link to comment
renny 0 Posted March 30, 2005 A beautiful photo and how wonderful to have been able to travel to the Amazon! I would have like to see more of the colors in the reflection... and cropped nothing. Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Love the clouds and color, nice to have it reflected. The bank in front doesn't bother me, I feel it rather frames it nicely. Would love to go to the rain forest! Leslie Link to comment
