Cool idea..the ground when covered like this always has a muffeled feel to it and the sky looks very active. Nice work.

Thanks Leann. I appreciated your comment on the sky. It's from another image actually and it did take a lot of work to put the two together.

I can tell you worked hard to get it blended good.

Kim, this is one of the most wonderfully done winter scene that I have seen. I didn't notice it a combined image until I read your comments. I really like the stormy sky and those snow-covered dark-green pines. Excellent exposure as well. 7/7.

The original is actually a composite of 3 photos taken vertically and then "stitched" together. I then had to use 2 duplicate photos for the sky because the landsape was very large.

A beautiful winter scene ! The sky is a nice addition and makes a good contrast above the tree tops. I like watching the road disappear between the snow covered trees. Nice to see you caught the green needles under this blanket of snow.

It was indeed a magical place and you can see by the tracks in the snow that we were the first to enter this place since the snowfall.. . . . . What are you doing looking at this picture of snow anyway? Today it was raining and cold, typical for November. I heard it snowed out west. BRRR!!! It will be here before we know it!
