daniel_farnham 0 Posted March 16, 2005 Love it, however, feel like it good benefit from a cropping, somewhere, don't know where. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 16, 2005 the subtle manipulation and compositing is quite harmonic and enchanting, as is the composition. Link to comment

kim_tural 0 Posted March 16, 2005 ...for sharing your opinions on my image. It means a lot coming from such wonderful photographers like yourselves. Daniel, it's already cropped, believe or not but we can try some more! Howard you have a way with words, thank you. Geatan, we have to love snow, don't we? I'll have to go out when it's actually snowing now. CHiPs, you inspired me to try this after viewing your wonderful work! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 16, 2005 Kim thanks for rating my pic...thought i would check u out and was amazed here. Looked long time cause its very pretty and thought only reason this isnt 77 i can find is bottom snow too bright... adjusted it -20B +7C...now its a 7/7...so 7/7!! Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted March 16, 2005 Thank you Paul. You are right, the snow is much easier on the eyes now and thanks for the great rating! Link to comment
lgreene 0 Posted March 16, 2005 Cool idea..the ground when covered like this always has a muffeled feel to it and the sky looks very active. Nice work. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted March 16, 2005 Thanks Leann. I appreciated your comment on the sky. It's from another image actually and it did take a lot of work to put the two together. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted March 17, 2005 Umm... so it is a combination of 2 images. You have done a great creation of cloudy blue sky against the cold winter, Kim. Very cool & crisp. Love it.(A:7 ,O:6) Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted March 17, 2005 Thanks Cherlyn, I'm glad you like it. Hi francesco. Sometimes I get lucky :-) even with an A20! Link to comment
jerry ting 1 Posted March 19, 2005 Kim, this is one of the most wonderfully done winter scene that I have seen. I didn't notice it a combined image until I read your comments. I really like the stormy sky and those snow-covered dark-green pines. Excellent exposure as well. 7/7. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted March 19, 2005 What a wonderful compliment. It's a great way to start the day. I even feel taller! Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted March 26, 2005 Never would have guessed it! It's such a beautifully interesting sky and really adds to the flawleess winter scene. Great job! Leslie Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted March 27, 2005 The original is actually a composite of 3 photos taken vertically and then "stitched" together. I then had to use 2 duplicate photos for the sky because the landsape was very large. Nice of you to visit. Link to comment
conteoliver 0 Posted April 26, 2005 Great shot, great detail. Bravo Kim! Excellent: 7/7 ciao! Link to comment
watermark_of_merni 14 Posted November 9, 2005 A beautiful winter scene ! The sky is a nice addition and makes a good contrast above the tree tops. I like watching the road disappear between the snow covered trees. Nice to see you caught the green needles under this blanket of snow. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted November 9, 2005 It was indeed a magical place and you can see by the tracks in the snow that we were the first to enter this place since the snowfall.. . . . . What are you doing looking at this picture of snow anyway? Today it was raining and cold, typical for November. I heard it snowed out west. BRRR!!! It will be here before we know it! Link to comment
