North Norway in winter, do you like this?

I'm in total aw of the Northern Lights. Nice colour and composition.

pleading my profound ignorance I must ask: do stars shine that brightly in arctic locations that they pierce through the northern lights aurora borealis curtain? could a polarizer effect that?

I'm not experimented enough to give technical comments on this shot but i know what i like and i like this image very much. Almost feel like i was there, thanks for sharing such a natural beauty...

This is taken on the lake Langvatnet, near Mo i Rana, just south of the arctic circle

Great scenery indeed, nicely composed. I just wonder how a sligth left crop would be, take away the most left aurora tint, to lead even more attention upwards.

A truly awesome scene. The green cast everywhere is interesting and the contrast with the tent well mastered. I like it that the shape of the tent is also a tepee one, and not a dome... I think I like more its pointing to the sky like that.

 

Is it true that the aurora borealis is moving pretty fast and so you have no clear prediction of the way the composition would turn out? You see, I might have liked this shot slightly more to the right, without the left hand side green on the hill and with a bit more space to the right... but I do not know how much things can change in 30 seconds...
