Roufous female flying up to feed in columbine, their tongue has

little barbs when they put there beak into the flower an a lot of

what they get is tiny insects which are high in protien.

I love the picture! However I think it could be even better. To me it has an obvious "flashed" look. Is there any way besides photoshop to correct for this? Maybe a warming filter over the flash or something? Anyways, awesome capture!

Excellent photo of a very difficult subject. The flash caused some glare, particularly on the flower. Flash could have been softened with a diffuser (or, if in a press, a hankerchief over the flash).

Wonderful work, I don't know how you do it. I tried photographing a peacock this weekend that was on the ground, and I just didn't succeed! Beautiful shot once again.
