manuelbayo1 0 Posted March 14, 2005 Nice photo. Some detail in the polos would improve the effect. Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted March 14, 2005 When I took this shot back in 1981, I think I exposed it so that the woodwork was going to be in silhouette. I don't remember seeing any detail when I scanned it a couple of days ago. Thanks for the helpful comment. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted March 16, 2005 This is fantastic Peter! I know Prestatyn very well, (as I grew up in Chester) and I don't ever remember it being as beautiful as this! You have achieved something really aesthetic, from a simple subject by beautiful composition and exposure! (oh, and all the better for being in B&W). A well deserved 7/7! Link to comment
drybrain 0 Posted March 27, 2005 well thought and well composed. i hope the original had less of a grain (alas, web uploading compromises quality a lot). Link to comment

uk_wanderer 0 Posted April 19, 2005 Now this I do like. Wish it were my own. One thing troubles me.The stone mid right. Have you tried it with this " blob" cloned out ? The simplicity appeals.Best of the bunch.Could you maybe try again with the colour version and go through several stages, leading up to the high contrast.I think you may find other images to post. pjmeade 12 Posted April 19, 2005 This is a fresh scan of the original 1981 print. You can see why I went BW! Best wishes. Pete Link to comment
