salvatore.mele 1 Posted March 11, 2005 This image is the companion of thispicture. On the summit of a peak in the French alps, the TourRonde, this shot looks to the East, while the companion looked to theWest. Like the spine of a stegosaurus, the ridge to the right dividesItaly and France. The fantastic natural spire of the Dent du Geant, the giant's tooth is in front, while to the left the elegance of theAiguille Verte and the Drus pillar talk about the history ofalpinism... At your feet, the crevasses of the glacier du Geant, thevery hearth of the Mont Blanc massif. That's what I'd imagine Heaven to look like... does the picture conveythat? giuseppe_miriello1 0 Posted March 11, 2005 Hi, i like this picture mostly becouse it has a clear foreground that help me exploring the frame. the image is well balanced to me, probably just a little too blue, were you using uv/polarizer? Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted March 12, 2005 Excellent,Salvatore. But I presume 'heaven' has something better to offer and not so cold. The beauty is breath-taking.7/7 Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted March 15, 2005 Wasn't sure about the rocks at first. I thought there might be too much foreground, but its grown on me. I like how their shape echo's the mountain behind them, kinda like a giant sat there at one point and decided to sculpt the mountain out of boulders. Well spotted... Link to comment
vuyisich 0 Posted March 16, 2005 The only thing I would change here is the light. It would be better with a low angle sunlight. Of course, it is probably not possible to be here at that time of day. Oterwise, this is beautiful! I hope I get there one day. Link to comment
