I cropped this out of a much larger image. I desaturated some and since the ISO was really high I decided to add a blur and then re-added some grain to make it look softer. While still pretty grainy, I kind of liked the effect. Tyson, just before falling asleep. 6months old now, hard to believe!

That's OK Christopher. I was just trying something different. I'm not real fond of it either. I just wanted to keep the entire image and since the only thing of interest in the frame area was the pacifier I decided to use this area as the frame. Win some loose some! :)

Very sweet, but I'd much prefer it if it was sharp and less grainy. But sometimes you have to go with what you've got and make the best of it and I think that's what you did here.

I sat and admired this frame for 5 minutes wondering how you did it and thinking how great it was...then read comments lol.. pic is truly wonderful. Grainy cause crop too small a part ya but it still works. It even blends perfectly with the PN white, can't believe the time u took. Just one little thing..face could use just a touch more sat. Haha...its the picture of pacified!

Now Paul.... I was going for that dreamlike attmosphere, kind of translucent & a little foggy. That time, right before they close their eyes and their head just drops to your shoulder. You just can't believe it.... oh my God they're asleep! I can tell by the look in his eye, it was about 30 seconds before he dropped! :) I did crop a small section of a larger image. But I loved the look and I kind of liked the grain for something different. I guess I must be the only one! :)

As per everyones suggestions, I have reposted this with noise reduction. I ran it through "Neat Image" and this reduced the noise and graining of the 1600 ISO. I agree, I also like it a bit better. Thanks for the help.
