From the peak, the reward

Here you are, at almost 4000m, after hours of efforts started in the

middle of the night, and your reward, the view from the peak, unfolds

un front of you. Views on the history of alpinism, on eternal snow, on

waves hiding threacherous crevasses on primeval glaciers. Click. Back

home, three years later, you try to figure out how to crop this to

convey the feeling of being up there... any suggestions?

The image is ok as it is, probably it is a little to dark as the right top corner goes black instead of deep blue. Other that very very nice capture.

a different crop?? those who have been "high" will know what you felt with this crop. jh

Nice picture but the frame is a bit too large IMHO.

Crop is good. Image reminds me strongly of my first summit in the Alps, and that was quite a few years ago, so the image must be doing the job you wanted - lots of synesthesia. Exposure is perfect. Like how you've brought out the reds and golds in the rock. Too bad about the contrails - fewer and fewer places you can get to quickly to find wilderness these days. Best, Jeremy
