oswegophoto 1 Posted March 13, 2005 I know this doesn't even begin to approach the quality I see elsewhere. But it's my best image of the moon so far, with the equipment I own, so I'm puttin' it up. See here if you want to see why I'm kinda happy with my progress. Further tips are certainly welcome, though. Link to comment
oswegophoto 1 Posted March 14, 2005 Wow, José, a 1/1! Care to explain what it is that you disliked so? Perhaps I could benefit from your wisdom. Link to comment

FilmPhotography-DuaneHorne 0 Posted March 16, 2005 As far as image quality and exposure is concerned there is absolutely nothing wrong with this image; it is technically well executed. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted March 19, 2005 Well done! - but why not crop for a square image? Link to comment
oswegophoto 1 Posted March 19, 2005 Guy, I'm glad you know where this is; thanks for coming ... um ... round. ;-)Duane, you're too kind, I fear, but thank you. I am happy to be making progress.Nicholas, thanks - as to the crop: it probably seems silly, but I was going for a "glance out the spacecraft window" feeling, and set its position with that in mind. nicholasprice 0 Posted March 19, 2005 I see what you mean Don, and you are right, now that you have suggested it, it just looks like a glance out of my shuttle window! Regards, Nick. Link to comment
anne_morgan 0 Posted March 29, 2005 Don - I REALLY like this one! It seems I always see brightly lit moons or crescent moons. This is really unique - seems like you can SEE the surface because now the brightness of the light isn't "obstructing" the view. Really great shot! Link to comment
r 0 Posted June 21, 2005 striding brightly highacross the longest sky -a full solstice moonfootnote:) I refer to the southern winter solstice. Your moon is striding high across the shortest sky.Anyway, happy longest day.R. Link to comment
oswegophoto 1 Posted June 22, 2005 Thanks, m' friend. And happy shortest day to you, too! "... longest sky ... shortest sky" I like that! I find the changes pretty dramatic up here past 45° N. latitude: major longs & shorts. ;-) Link to comment
r 0 Posted June 22, 2005 Thanks Don, had a pleasant longest night. Popped out to catch the fullmoon rise. Missed it. It had already risen an hour before sunset. Still got some interesting moon photos tho.And now, lets compare our best moons... Link to comment
