ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted March 6, 2005 Very graceful. I'm thinking of removing some empty space, but that may ruin it Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 7, 2005 No, it needs that elbow room. Fine use of the square format, and elegant color. Flower photos are like haiku or sonnets very small music, where every syllable has to be the right one. It's not easy to see (and therefore show) a flower in a new way. But you've done that for this lily. Link to comment
root 0 Posted March 13, 2005 I agree about the use of space and note that the stem dropping down from the top adds interest. I like the light on the front edge, but have recently been taken to task for using a black background without lighting the whole subject such that portions fade into the shadows, like the underside of the stem here. A reflector might define the line in a subtle way. Link to comment
