Howard, terrific atmosphere. I like the branches interplaying with the white snow and the building. Perhaps you don't need the right of the frame and crop it square, but then again that's really up to Sir Photog. Overall, this reminds me of the winter that Seattle never had this year. ^_^

Nice composition Howard. The snow in the trees, the window sills, etc. make this shot. The detail is very good on the bricks, the trees and the snow on the right. Because of the narrower latitude of the image sensors in most 35mm size digitals, it is difficult to capture detail in the snow without loosing it in the shadows. This would be interesting in b&w also. Nice shot.

CR: The charm of transience. The centers: The snow on the cut branch in the middle and the "open" window... REgards

Great shot, Howard. You apparantly were NOT too fed up with winter when you took this, because you were out trapsing around in the snow. The detail in the bricks is GREAT!! :-)

Looking through your stuff, I happened on this. I've been in Florida for four decades, but I miss those northern days when the snow has just fallen, the light and air are clear. As I recall, that happens about five days a year. I think Andrew Wyeth would be jealous of this picture.
