Udo Kier ~ Devil Eyes

My friend Udo Kier sat for me. I tried for the penetrating look he gets with his eyes. I could

use some tips on how to make this better. I shot this at a slow shutter speed trying to

capture the lighting in the room. It seemed perfect to me in this spot.

I like it. His face looks perfect for portraiture and you captured his look very well. The low shutter speed makes this somehow dynamic. Well done, congrats.

Lee, excellent composition. Your technique, together with Udo's strong features makes for a great portrait. The only suggestion I would make is that it is slightly out of focus. I guess that is the sacrifice you have to make for using a slower shutter speed? Also, I wonder what the composition would look like in B&W although that would negate his startling coloured eyes... M
