afterthoughts 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Does this image capture the FEELING of new fallen snow? Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted March 2, 2005 Absolutely, in a very good and simple composition. Maybe a little whiter in the snow? Link to comment
stemked 4 Posted March 2, 2005 A nice clean image without any distractions. I think you may have wanted to include the shadow though. Link to comment
warren williams 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Howard - I'm presently sitting in 34 degree celsius sweltering weather (and in the middle of a serious drought to boot). so please excuse the pun when I say that this shot is really, really, really cool. (I love the shadow). Warren Link to comment
cocasana 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Excellent shot! White is prerfect to my eyes (and for my monitor too)! Carlo Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted March 2, 2005 It surely conveys the feeling of the freshly fallen snow. I like the justapoxition of the soft slope and the harsh geometrical line. More than that, I find insteresting the way the shadow eventually connects this hars regularity with the soft contours... Was it necessary to remove part of that shadow? I might have liked to have it all in place... Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Awesome! Great detail in both highlight and shadow area. How the heck did you find this shot is beyond me. I also wish to see the rest of the bottom right shodow though. So, so smooth. ^_^ Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 2, 2005 Simple, original, good contrast, beautiful shadow, good composition. what els is needed? Pnina Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted March 2, 2005 So simple, and yet so effective! Beautifully exposed - 7/7 Link to comment
aneely 0 Posted March 3, 2005 Simple yet very effective composition. Good time of day for this shot as the shadows are about perfect. I'll bet the original or print from the original shows incredible detail in the texture of the snow as it is still very apparent here in the lower resolution. Great shot Howard! 7/7 Link to comment
Brian_Edwards 0 Posted March 3, 2005 Snow is a little too gray. You should be trying to get a brighter white, but still hold the detail in the snow. It's hard with film too. Link to comment
judy_ben_joud 0 Posted March 3, 2005 I think this is my favorite of the 3.Regards,JudyPS.it would be a 7/7 ,but i cant rate for being over the limit-sorry Link to comment
niranjn 0 Posted March 3, 2005 > Does this image capture the FEELING of new fallen snow? Nope. I see a cold, clinical abstract image. Delightful, nevertheless. Would prefer seeing the complete shadow. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted March 3, 2005 Howard- this is my favorite of the three. I love the way fresh snow makes everything appear so clean and different. This almost looks like a Greek letter of some sort. Snow Calligraphy! Well seen and captured. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted March 3, 2005 I like the simplicity of this one too. Also like the texture of the snow. Nice work! Link to comment
