Guest Guest Posted March 2, 2005 Ah Mike, love this one. Very different tones than the previous, i recall. Different scanner? Postcard no doubt and u got my 7/7 here. Link to comment
michaelseewald 237 Posted March 2, 2005 Learning how to use the good scanner I've already got. I have been scanning my 5"x5" proofs at 72 dpi and enlarging from there- (now I know, what an idiot). I've learned to scan it to a 10"x10" @ 300 dpi and then downsize the dpi afterwards. Looks more like an original now. You will see a few more of my re-worked images, but then again, I've got so many un-seen (hundreds) I don't know where to start. It's a lot of work, doing each one right. But hey, it's my job so I'm lovin' it. Love to show these 'new ones' off, they have been pretty poor looking with, and rightly so, poor ratings (you know, under 6's), and constant comments about wishing to see that big neg quality!!! jim l. 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Michael, another beautiful capture of Venice. Your talents are what inspired me to get into photography...thanks for setting the standard! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 4, 2005 Hi Mike...well the scan definetly looks higher quality here..no idea how large format is scanned but even 35 ls4000 nikon has such different results. All my ealier stuff needs a rescan too before posting, but well worth the effort of getting it right. Let me know if you redo that canal one (my fav)...how more perfect could it get? Link to comment
michaelseewald 237 Posted March 4, 2005 James, I don't know what to say, but thanks for the GIANT compliment. I found this site via a photogapher I met while working in China last summer- it's pretty cool. I try to help out a lot of aspiring photographers here, some appreciate it, most don't. Hope you drop in and say hi, my gallery/studio is now in Encinitas. Address/phone number at the bottom of my website pages. Paul, Which Venice is your favorite? I'll redo that one next as it doesn't matter to me. Link to comment
